Members of the NUP party are in fear as Mr. kibalama nkonge claims that he never sold his party to Mr. Sentamu kyagulanyi and his colleagues. In a video circulating on social media shows kibalama saying that he needs his party back. Many members who have been eyeing to take political positions on the party ticket are in the middle of a hard place and rock with regards to party ticket. One of the contestant who requested The Uganda Times to keep him anonymous said “I am really scared, I regret why I left my party to join NUP because if kibalama wins the case, am going to lose all my funds I have put in.
The process used in the vetting process has added fuel to the already burning fire as many members are saying that the policy being used to elect flag bearers is not free and fair and is likely to add salt to the wound, the first person to complain was lord mayor aspirant, singer gone politician Joseph Mayanja.
