The state minister of tourism Godfrdey kiwanda lately shed tears as he could not stand making him self announce that he had pulled out of the Mityana North parliamentary race.
This happened on a gathering of NRM district leaders and some of Kiwanda’s supporters that he had called at his home at Mutetema village in Kalangala sub-county,where he broke the news.
At the meeting, Kiwanda explained to the gathering how big the position
he had won(Vice-chairperson in Central Executive Committee of NRM) was.
He failed to bring him self make the announcement which took the Government chief whip Ruth Nankabirwa who had attended the ceremony to announce that Kiwanda had pulled out of the parliamentary race.
Kiwanda asked his supporters to remain serene and in support of the party. His withdrawal from the race meant that Nsegumire remained unopposed in the NRM primaries for Mityana North seat.
Nsegumire had also pulled out of the NRM race for CEC vice-chairperson of the central region last week.It was not plain that this was an agreement between the two.
